Founding Partner Agreement — Key Terms

Here's what you're actually signing up for. The full agreement is presented in-product before your account is flagged.

1. The Founding Partner Offer

You become a Founding Partner on the SBCMSP platform — one of the first 25 paying MSP accounts globally. In exchange for an upfront annual subscription on the standard SBCMSP pricing structure (per-domain tiers Basic/Pro/Command), you receive a 30% discount off your entire first-year bill — across every domain and every tier — plus the recognition and product-influence perks described below. Founding Partner status is granted upon your first paid invoice; your assigned Founding Partner number is permanent and never reassigned.

2. Year-One Discount (30% Off, Whole Bill)

For your first 12 months as a Founding Partner, every charge on your subscription — every domain at every tier (Basic, Pro, and Command) — is discounted by 30%. The Founding Partner discount replaces (does not stack with) the standard 20% annual discount. It applies to the upfront annual invoice you pay at signup, to any mid-year domain additions during Year 1, and to any tier upgrades or other in-year additions, and then expires at the end of your first 12 months.

3. Year-Two Renewal (Standard Annual)

At the end of your first 12 months, your subscription renews at the then-current list prices with the standard 20% annual discount applied — the same annual rate that any non-Founding-Partner customer would receive. There is no continuing Founding-Partner price benefit after Year 1. Your Founding Partner number, 10× vote weight, co-marketing badge, and other non-price perks are retained for as long as you remain an active paying customer.

4. Product Influence and Recognition

5. Annual Billing, Paid Upfront

Founding Partner status requires annual billing, paid upfront. The 30% Year-1 discount applies only to the annual billing cycle; monthly billing is not eligible. You may not switch from annual to monthly during the first 12 months without forfeiting Founding-Partner status. Standard SBCMSP refund and cancellation policies in the Terms of Service apply to Founding Partner subscriptions; there is no separate Founding-Partner refund waiver.

6. Eligibility and Conditions of Membership

Founding Partner status is contingent on: (a) acceptance of this Agreement and the SBCMSP Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; (b) maintaining an active paid annual subscription for the first 12 months; (c) accepting the AI Remediation Guidance Disclaimer if you use that feature; and (d) being a US-based entity (the Founding Partner cohort is currently US-only).

If your subscription is cancelled or lapses during the first 12 months — voluntary cancellation, non-payment, card decline not cured within Stripe's standard grace period, or termination for cause (ToS violation) — the 30%-off Year-1 discount terminates and is not restored on re-subscription. After Year 1, you retain your Founding Partner number, vote weight, and badge for as long as you remain an active paying customer. If you later cancel, your Founding Partner number is retired with you, remains on record for historical purposes only, and is not reassigned; you cannot regain Founding Partner status by re-subscribing later.

7. Number of Spots and Permanence

Founding Partner status is permanently capped at the first 25 paying MSP accounts globally. Once 25 Founding Partner numbers have been assigned, the program closes and no further members may be enrolled — regardless of subsequent cancellations. Each Founding Partner number is permanent and reserved exclusively for the member to whom it was originally assigned. SBCMSP reserves the right to close the program before reaching 25 members in its sole discretion, and reserves the right to open additional cohorts at different terms in the future; no current Founding Partner is entitled to the terms of any later cohort.

8. Enrollment Lifecycle

Founding Partner enrollment is automatic, not application-based:

  • Qualification: When you hold at least one Command-tier domain on annual billing, you are eligible.
  • Slot reservation: A slot is informally reserved when you initiate annual checkout; no Founding Partner number is assigned at this stage.
  • First paid invoice (status granted): When your first annual invoice succeeds, the billing reconciler checks the live slot counter and — if you are still inside the 25-cap — flips your account to Founding Partner, assigns the next available number, and replaces the standard 20%-off-annual coupon on your subscription with the 30%-off Founding Partner coupon for 12 months.
  • Year-2 renewal: Your subscription auto-renews at the then-current list price with the standard 20% annual discount applied.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time at the end of any annual term. Your Founding Partner number remains on record for historical purposes only. You cannot regain Founding Partner status by re-subscribing later, even if cohort slots remain available.

9. Audit Trail

Your acceptance of this Agreement — including the document version, timestamp, your user identifier, and originating IP address — is recorded for compliance and regulatory purposes.

Common Questions

How do I become a Founding Partner?
There is no application. Sign up for SBCMSP, add at least one Command-tier domain to your subscription, and choose annual billing. If you are one of the first 25 paying accounts that qualifies globally, your account is automatically flagged as a Founding Partner on your first paid annual invoice, your Founder Number is assigned in order of payment, and the 30%-off-year-1 coupon is applied to your subscription.
Why is this limited to 25?
Two reasons. First, the direct founder access, quarterly roadmap input, and beta-access commitments don't scale — 25 deeply-engaged customers is what one founder can serve personally. Second, scarcity is honest signaling: this isn't a "discount tier," it's a closed cohort with real founder access. Once 25 numbered slots are taken, the program closes permanently.
What if I add a Command Annual domain after the 25 slots are taken?
You become a normal Command Annual customer at the standard 20%-off-annual rate, which is still a strong deal. No Founding Partner discount, no Founder Number — those are reserved for the first 25.
What happens after my first 12 months?
Your subscription renews at the standard 20%-off-annual rate — the same rate every other annual customer gets. The 30%-off Year-1 Founding Partner coupon is bounded to the first 12 months. Your Founder Number, 10× feature-request voting weight, and Founding Partner badge are retained for the life of your active paid subscription.
Can I become a Founding Partner with a monthly plan?
No — the Founding Partner offer is annual-only. The 30%-off-year-1 founder coupon applies to annual subscriptions only and the qualifying condition is at least one Command-tier domain on annual billing. You can switch a domain from monthly to annual at any time from your dashboard.
What does "10× feature-request weight" mean in practice?
Every authenticated user can submit and upvote feature requests in their Settings tab. Standard users' votes count as 1; Founding Partners' votes count as 10. The roadmap prioritization formula uses this weighted vote count as one of its inputs alongside customer-revenue impact and engineering effort, so Founding Partner requests get measurably more shipped product than standard ones.
Do existing customers qualify?
Yes. If you already have an SBCMSP account, you become a Founding Partner the moment you (a) hold at least one Command-tier domain on annual billing and (b) are still inside the first 25 to qualify. The 30%-off coupon is applied to your existing annual subscription automatically by our billing reconciler — no manual step required.
What happens if I cancel during Year 1?
The 30%-off Founding Partner coupon ends with your subscription — standard SBCMSP cancellation terms in the Terms of Service apply, there is no separate Founding Partner refund waiver. Your Founder Number is retired with you (kept on record for audit purposes, never reassigned), and you cannot regain Founding Partner status by re-subscribing later.
